Works on the walls include photographs from the Midwest for a short book by Gio Chiapetta, who hails from Hong Kong and New York;
A new edition of Renzo Ortega's MassProduktion Prints, a Peruvian artist based in Five Points, Queens;
Photo intaglio (polymer gravure) prints by Diana Simard of Western Massachusettes and Brooklyn, NY;
A very new and exciting series of cross stitching Pilar Cordoba;
A new lithograph from Upstate New York artist Leta Gray's apocalyptic series;
Collage influenced by his personal mythology by Juan Betancurth, a Columbian born and Brooklyn based artist);
An Installation by Panos Papalampros, Murals by Agnese Purvinska, Ben Furgal, and Casey Tang.
Tabling arists include Lauren Roth, Naoko Stoop, Andy Collins, For the Birds Womyns Collective, and VIDEO's zines and accessories.
Music by Grafitti Monsters and The Shakes, BBQ and 1$ PBR/Wine all night.

ReadyMade or Not [redefining the readymade] opening reception and video screening March 14, 2009. 6 - 11 pm $1 beer while it lasts then BYOB, bands TBA group exhibition including artwork by: Luke Allen. Oliver Laric. Aimee Lusty. Scott Meyers. Peter Nowogrodzki. Panos Papalampros. Jon Rafman. Lachlann Rattray. Kevin Regan. Alan Resnick. Jason Roy. Zach Shipko. Bennett Williamson. Chris Zirbes.
The theme will focus on combining works that traditionally define Duchampian readymades, with a more contemporary definition encompassing internet appropriation; found and artist altered images, video, audio, etc. Accompanying the exhibition is a limited edition publication of 2-dimensional assisted readymades and appropriation art, cross referencing artists in the exhibition. Each comes with a dvd compilation of short video works who similarly use appropriation as its main source of imagery.

open call for submissions ::: silent auction february 21
we're holding an open call for artwork submissions to be sold in a silent auction february 21.
this is an opportunity to show at a non-profit local gallery and printshop and more importantly
to gain exposure with local artists and curators in your community.
all auction prices must start below $50. our zine/print library also seeking submissions for consignment.
the gallery takes 15% comission to help keep it running.
artwork is due by february 15th, the reception/auction will be held 5 - 10 pm february 21 with live music,
food and drinks.

would like to submit and starting price (max 10 artworks per artist, depending on size).

Hello From VIDEO!!
Thanks for all those who came out to "the Pen15 Club presents!" It was awesome! Thanks also to BEST HITS and ERIC HNATOW for performing.
The next show is PAWS WITH CLAWS II, curated by PANOS PAPALAMPROS on JANUARY 10th. There is also an opening at POCKET UTOPIA that night as well, and arrangements are being made to have a shuttle between the two Bushwick galleries every 30-45 min. That means you can take either the J or the L to get to the galleries no problem. We'll send out more details about this in January.
